CrossPoint Alliance Church is a place where people can meet Jesus, engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome.
We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory.
Join us for our Sunday services!
FINDING US
We are located at the corner of South Cleveland-Massillon Road and Rothrock Road in the “Montrose” region of Akron.
This intersection is a couple of hundred feet north of the northbound exit (#135) of I-77, and about 1 mile south of Market Street (Rt. 18) in the heart of Montrose.
We are the church that sits on the northwest corner of the roundabout.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
You will be greeted at the front door by one of our greeters, who will be happy to answer your questions and give any direction you might need.
When you enter the lobby, to your left will be our coffee bar. Enjoy a cup of coffee before the service, or feel free to take it in the sanctuary with you!
We meet for worship in the multi-purpose room, just to your right.
Down the hallway is the nursery and restrooms.
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
The service starts at 10:30. Almost everyone lingers in the lobby talking together until that time.
Please arrive as early as you would like. From 9-10, our Worship Team warms-up in the sanctuary, and our adult Sunday School class is in session.
Generally, most people everyone else starts arriving at 10:20.
Our service typically ends around 11:30, but can occasionally go until 11:45 if there is a special event like Communion, or if we have a guest speaker.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Please dress how you prefer. You will find people here from shorts and t-shirts to dresses and suits, and everything in between.
We care more about you being here than what you are wearing.
ARE THERE THINGS IN THE SERVICE I WILL BE EXPECTED TO KNOW?
No, we do not have specific times in the service when you will be expected to say or do anything that will leave you feeling awkward because everyone else just "knows" what to do.
Our worship leader will invite you to stand when we sing, but please feel free to remain seated if that is more comfortable or if you have physical ailments.
There are BIbles located in the rack at the bottom of the seat in front of you that you are welcome to use. The pastor will announce the page number of the passage used for the sermon.
On occasion, a worship leader may invite you to greet someone around you, but please do so at your level of comfort.
AM I EXPECTED TO GIVE WHEN THE OFFERING PLATES COME BY?
Not at all. In fact, we do not pass offering plates during the service. Any gifts can be placed in the wooden box by the sanctuary doors.
But, as our guest, please just use that box to deposit the Connect Card attached to your bulletin so that we can get to know you better.
WILL I BE SINGLED OUT IF I AM THERE FOR THE FIRST TIME?
No. We promise not to draw attention to you or make you stand up during the service. Our people are very friendly and will likely be sure to introduce themselves, though.
The only thing we will do is an usher should bring you a gift bag to show our appreciation that you came to visit us with some information for you to get to know us better.
